Which house are you loyal to? The hit book and HBO series Game of Thrones has brought a lot of attention to home interior designs that make your house look like it belongs to the Queen of Dragons, but without all the fiery mess.

One way that homeowners mesh their love for Game of Thrones with their interior design is through their home lighting theme. Your lighting design can make your home just as dramatic looking as the set of the show, and it might be more simplistic than you think.

Go Gothic
Gothic-inspired light fixtures, whether they are faux-castle-candle chandeliers or metal wooden lights, create a similar Game of Thrones style of light. The show is notorious for its illustrious set designs, and to get on the same level, you need to invest in a centerpiece light fixture that brings out the theme of your home.

Centerpiece light designs are common on the show and picking a metal or bronze style of chandelier will give a great contrast to the rest of your house. Also, there are plenty of metal wood, or more rustic light designs that can match your favorite lord's den. Gothic lighting designs don't have to be overly themed. Simple iron light fixtures can give the rustic feel without going overboard.

Architectural Sconces
Sconces are the perfect light fixture to use to make your home appear candlelit. Architectural sconces will blend in with the design of your home and give subtle ambience lighting in rooms such as the study, den, bathroom or even the walkway.

Rustic-inspired sconces are the best way to give your home the same flair as the Lannister's house.

Working Natural Light in with Your Furniture
You don't have to go out and purchase a large bear rug to get your home looking like House Stark. Instead, you can use natural light to go along with darker furniture colors to absorb some of the light.

Many of the daytime sets still have a dark aesthetic to them and using natural light with darker furniture will give you the tone you're looking for. Earthy tones and colors will go a long way to making you feel like the King of the North.
